The Challenge

GeoMark Research is a respected name in the Oil & Gas industry, specializing in laboratory services, geochemical analysis, consulting, and advanced data visualization. When they first approached us, their software infrastructure was on the verge of collapse. The Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) they had invested in through another vendor was slow, incomplete, and unusable. It couldn’t perform even the most basic analyses. The system was so poor that the GeoMark board had essentially given up on it as a lost cause. 

Frustrated, the team had reverted to using Microsoft Access, a stopgap measure that left operations stuck in the past. Day-to-day lab work became tedious, and leadership lacked the necessary visibility for informed strategic decision-making.

The Solution

1. Turning Around the LIMS

We took over and transformed their LIMS into the everyday backbone of GeoMark’s operations.
Our solution handled the entire end-to-end workflow.

Integrated directly with HubSpot to capture incoming projects.

3. Lab IDs & Traceability

Generated the critical Lab IDs that linked samples to workflows, ensuring accuracy at every step.

Automated report generation, QA approvals, and final compilation into client-ready packages.

7. Inventory Management

Tracked samples and cuts all the way down to shelf-level accuracy across multiple labs.

2. Task Management

Automated creation and mapping of projects, work orders, and tasks in Monday.com, assigning them to the right teams at the right time.

3. Machine Integration

Pulled data directly from lab instruments, eliminating manual entry.

4. Billing

Automatically created and consolidated invoices, then synced them to QuickBooks

5. Dashboards

Delivered dynamic, role-based dashboards so every user from lab techs to executives could see what mattered most to them.

2. RFDbase Rescue

GeoMark also relied on a different vendor for RFDbase, their proprietary data platform for geochemical reports. However, the previous vendor had stalled on basic enhancements for over a year.

3. GeoChem AI Agent

To push the boundaries further, we developed the GeoChem AI Agent. This standalone tool ingests decades of historical data, Excel files, PDFs, scanned reports, and legacy Access databases, and extracts valuable insights in seconds. 

The AI identified correlations, predicted oil families, estimated maturity, and uncovered patterns that would have traditionally required weeks of manual effort. 

Even GeoMark’s senior geochemists were astonished. One remarked that they “never expected AI could analyze our data this accurately without human intervention.” 

The GeoChem Agent has since been integrated into RFDbase, giving GeoMark a next-generation edge in geochemical research and reporting.
